US President George W Bush has nominated Air Force
General Michael Hayden as the new head of the CIA who praised ex-CIA chiefs as Tennet and Goss who're resigned.
General Hayden was the top deputy to the old
national intelligence director, John Negroponte, who oversees
the CIA and 15 other intelligence agencies.
As head of the NSA - the American electronic eavesdropping
organisation - the 61-year-old oversaw the programme, which
allows for the monitoring of international calls and e-mails of
terrorist suspects inside the US without a warrant.
New CIA chief is a controversial one but is said to love Shakespeare. General Hayden is an expert intechnological intelligence gathering.
